Jason Fox is a former Royal Marine Commando and Special Forces Sergeant.

Joining at 16 and serving for 20 years; Jason passed the grueling selection process for the Special Forces, serving with the Special Boat Service. Jason has planned and led operations including hostage rescue, counter terrorism, counter insurgency, maritime counter terrorism, surveillance, body guarding and counter narcotic missions.

Jason is also trained as a combat swimmer, demolitions expert, Special Forces dog handler and jungle survival expert. After leaving the Special Forces, Jason moved in to the TV and Film industry, initially using his wealth of experience in the Special Forces to support production crews who were working in environmentally hostile areas, such as the jungle, the Arctic or the desert. It was during this period that Jason was part of the team of divers who found the lost treasure of Captain Kidd – one of the most prolific pirates of the 17th century – just off the coast of Madagascar.

Jason now stars in Channel 4’s hit series SAS: Who Dares Wins; putting members of the public through the SAS Secret Selection in the ultimate test of their physical and, more importantly, psychological resilience. The show is currently in it’s 5th series, with another celebrity version due to air later this year.

The start of the Jason Fox franchise began in 2018, with the ground-breaking series Meet The Drug Lords: Inside the Real Narcos, hailed as Channel 4’s flagship show of that year. Taking over 2 years to shoot with unique editorial and graphic scenes, the show sees Foxy enter the cartel strongholds of Mexico, Colombia and Peru, exposing the most formidable and dangerous drug gangs from a rarely seen perspective. The crew consisted of just 4, including Jason, who due to his vast experience was also an invaluable producer on the series.

In the 3 x 60-minute series, ‘Meet The Drug Lords: Inside The Real Narcos’, Jason will confront the kind of criminals he once targeted. He will meet cocaine cooks, cartel enforcers, underworld kingpins and traffickers to understand the complexities of the billion-pound narcotics industry.

C4 specialist factual commissioning editor Alf Lawrie said Jason’s insider’s perspective would serve up a unique take on the subject. “Jason’s first-hand knowledge of this world – as a participant in the war on drugs – sets this series apart, and gives his journey an extraordinary authenticity,” he said.

Plum Pictures’ Stuart Cabb, who is executive producing, praised Jason’s “unique and completely authentic talent”.

Jason takes a consultant producer credit on the series.

Jason and the team of elite ex-Special Forces, take another 30 ‘ordinary’ men through an SAS selection course.

For the SAS, physical fitness is little more than a necessary minimum. The true test is one of character: do these men have the mental strength needed to join the Special Forces? As they’re subjected to psychological profiling and testing, sleep deprivation and stress positions, extreme physical endurance, and capture and interrogation, the men are taken to the edge of their capabilities and some surprising truths emerge: Alpha males aren’t welcome, coming first in the race isn’t always the way to win, and what’s really being tested is often not what it seems.

Series 1 & 2 received critical acclaim and were set in the Brecon Beacons and Amazon Jungle respectively.

The Final Mission: Foxy’s War (Channel 4) follows Jason as he heads back on a personal journey to Afghanistan, where he served almost a decade ago – and where he endured harrowing combat experiences during multiple tours of duty. He meets old friends and former enemies, and asks whether the sacrifices were worth the traumatic legacy that he, the Afghan people, and many of his fellow soldiers have been left to endure.

“Afghanistan defined me as a soldier and made me the man I am today,” said Jason Fox.

“I felt it was important to go back and put some of those demons to rest.”

In April and May 2021, Jason will be bringing to the stage and on tour for the first time, the remarkable story of his daring exploits in a distinguished career as an elite operator in the UK Special Forces (SBS) and beyond.  From gunfights, hostage rescues, daring escapes and heroic endeavours that defined Jason Fox’s service, to a very different battle that awaited him at home, “Life At The Limit” is a breathtaking story of Special Forces soldiering; a chronicle of operational bravery, adventure and courage on and off the battlefield.  A vivid, searing account of his life, that tells some incredible moments of strength and courage
